Gorilla! So much of what you taught is still part of how I approach my work everyday. Thanks for being such a positive influence on my professional and personal life. Your style of teaching was the most effective approach I experienced and I still tell friends and colleagues about you today. Thanks for all that you gave back. Keep dancing like no one is watching.

The Gorilla was the best teacher I ever had. His business lessons paled in comparison to the life lessons that were routinely imparted. The stories of Gorilla and the Beamer are often remembered fondly. Gorilla's legacy is alive and well with us.

Gorilla was, by far, one of the best professors I ever had at Case. He was always attentive, kind, and unbelievably knowledgeable in his field and he is the very embodiement of what it means to be an excellent human being! I will miss him beyond measure! RIP Gorilla and I'm so sorry!!! ) ;

The Gorilla was, without question, the best teacher I ever had. His business lessons paled in comparison to the life lessons that were routinely imparted. Gorilla inspired me to be a better man & with this inspiration, I mustered the courage to ask one of my classmates, Winnie, on a date...she's now my wife. The stories of Gorilla and the Beamer are often remembered fondly. Gorilla's legacy is alive and well with us.

So long Gorilla! You taught me so much, there isn't space here to thank you. You are a great Guru because you inspired me to run startups! All those interesting people you introduced, and those wonderful stories about building a hovercraft in Canada. Wherever you are, keep a chair for me. A long tall cool one of Cleveland's finest brew - on me!

See you Gorilla!

Gorilla! The most influential professor I ever had. He pushed, he taught us to think, be creative, and not be afraid to fail. He rewarded students with special notes, gifts of books, and inspired the class to think as individuals but work as a team. I was known as "Q" because I asked a lot of questions. Everyone had a nickname. He had his own method for teaching and always maintained a completely professional image. Everyone who had him as a teacher was truly lucky.

What a legacy he left. Condolences to the family.

"The Gorilla" was a larger than life professor, mentor and friend. Even 20 years after graduating, he still remembered and encouraged him when we met or emailed. I cannot believe he is no longer with us..... Ha, how we used to argue because I couldn't bring myself to call him anything other than "Professor Osborne" in public! No teacher has ever or will ever emulate his style, his humor, his passion for the entrepreneurial spirit and his love and dedication for his students...I almost brought my two sons to meet him as they toured Weatherhead/ CWRU a few months ago. They will never have the privilege I was honored to have, calling him friend, teacher, mentor.
My condolences and heartfelt prayers go to Mrs. Osborne and "Gorilla's" family.

Condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of taking a class with the Gorilla in 2005/2006 when doing my MBA at Case and still remember so vividly his class and lectures. He was a fantastic professor who was loved by many. He will be missed. <3
