Artemio Marasigan Aventurera

His FAITH, KINDNESS, HUMILITY...HE LIVED AND GAVE EVERYDAY.

Artemio M.  Aventurera, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, lived a long and wonderful life. Born January 4, 1921, he completed his life's journey and went to his Creator on Sept. 3, 2016 in Hayward, CA. he was 95. 

Born in Magdalena, Laguna Philippines, Artemio was the youngest and only son of Julia and Julio Aventurera. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann, and grandchildren, Gino, Matthew and Kyle. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Norberta “Betty” and son, Allan. 

As a military veteran,  he accomplished distinguished service as a  Philippine Scout in World War II, enlisted under the USAFFE. Artemio's work spanned 42 years as specialist in the Refrigeration and Air-conditioning industry. He worked in Saudi Arabia for 12 years, traveled throughout the Middle-East and Mediterranean. He showed great leadership skill and was loved by all that worked under his management.

He was a great cook and storyteller.  He had a passion for many jazz greats. 

He gave his all and his best to raise his family. A giving and kind man, his eternal smile came from his heart, always present and given to all. 

His celebration of life will be held at the Franciscan Renewal Center Chapel in Scottsdale, Arizona. Saturday, October 8th at 10am. Donations requested in lieu of flowers to AFAWV, the 

Association of Filipino American War Veterans.
