LifeStory

Will Golden

By Kevin McKinnon

My heart is broken, one of my "95" Devils hockey players has passed away. Will Golden, a fine young man with a smile that could melt ice passed away this weekend in an accident while visiting friends at the University of Delaware. Will committed to play hockey at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs New York and had just finished his freshman season. He still wore his familiar #8 and played in 13 games as a freshman scoring 3 goals and 2 assists. Please remember to hug your kids, kiss them too. Remind them how fleeting life can be and while they are away at college tell them every time you speak with them how much you love them.

I have loved all the players I have coached, each brought something unique to our team and left me with a lifetime of memories.

Will, I will miss you and your beautiful smile, I'd even put up with that awful smelling hockey gear to tell you one more time how proud I am of you. We are all going to miss you.

Please share this with any extended members or former players with our "95" Devils Hockey Club family

RIP

Love, Coach
