Catron EnloeHi Katie,
I have been wanting to reach out to you since I saw your email last week (I don't check Yahoo email much anymore, please use this one moving forward) about Mac's passing. My heart broke for you as I know you would have wanted things to have been different between you and him. I can relate, I really can.
I'd like to honor Mac with a few words here, since I can't be there physically with you:
I met Mac back in 2012 when you brought him with you to the Ambleside Fellowship in Lucketts. I didn't know you, nor Mac, and thought it was sweet that you would bring your Dad with you to "school". I've always enjoyed talking with older people more than younger (God's working on my heart on that) and can't remember the jist of our first conversation, but walked away thinking Mac was different.
He spoke a lot, and with conviction, but there was no hate in his voice, or condemnation. I sensed a love of life, even in the mundane, and was most taken by his admiration for you, Katie. His words of what a great mother you were, and how he supported your homeschooling efforts etc.
But most of all, and I will always thank God for Mac in this.....that the Lord used Mac to learn more about what grace looked like. When I would have to move on (we know Mac loved to talk), he never seemed mad, or anxious or hurt. He just went on with life. I loved that about him. My interaction with him was that he didn't take himself too seriously. A lesson the Lord knew I needed (and still do from time to time).
Thank you Lord, for son Mac. I know He is with you and singing with the choir of Your faithful. I thank you that Katie and Mac will be joined together in perfect relationship together some day, and for that we are so eternally grateful.
Love you Katie!! Hi to everyone in the US. Praying for you all today (Election Day), we really are...even the Germans! May the body of Christ show the world who reigns over.
Blessings to you, beautiful Enloe family, in Christ's abundance,
Alison (and family)
Diane HannaMac so blessed to spend his time with such a loving caring family. I know you all loved him very much as he did in return.
He enjoyed every moment he spent with you all.
