LifeStory

Bridgitte Brown

Our beautiful Bridgitte Brown, 53, passed away peacefully November 6, 2016, with the love of her life, Gary Hess, by her side. Bridgitte was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, and was loved by all that knew her. She had the most amazing laugh, and sense of humor. She loved her daughters and husband more than anything in the world, and cherished her family and friendships. Bridgitte was a very talented piano player, avid gardener, was brilliant and very artistically creative. She proudly ran her first half marathon, benefiting the American Cancer Society, at the age of 48. Fitness and health were important to her, and she was a vegetarian most of her adult life, primarily due to her immense love of animals. Bridgitte was born in Puyallup, September 8, 1963, and lived most of her life in Western Washington. She moved to Globe, AZ in 2013, with her husband Gary and their three beloved dogs and three cats. She worked in banking for many years, but the career she was most proud of was with Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care. She worked as an MIS specialist, helping to fulfill the company's mission of strengthening communities through the delivery of holistic, integrated behavior health services that promote hope, recovery and improved quality of life. She was very passionate about her job, and was grateful to be able to help others. Bridgitte is proceeded in death by her mother, Sue Meier; father, Gary Gregg; and step-father, Ernie Meier. She is survived by her husband, Gary Hess; two beautiful daughters, Isabel and Lily Collier; two sisters, Jessica and Shawna; two brothers, Tony and Shawn, and step-mother Ann. She will also be greatly missed by her nephews, Josh and Shane, and numerous friends and extended family members. A Celebration of Bridgitte's Life will be held Sunday, 11/27/16 at The Murano Hotel Ballroom in Tacoma, at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, Bridgitte would be honored if any size donation, in her name, be given to any city animal shelter or reputable animal rescue organization.
