Donald and his twin sister, Donna, were born November 26, 1960 in Beeville, TX, to Thomas and Carol (Grant) Troestler.  Donald was born into a military family and moved around a lot as a child.  He attended Chippewa Valley Technical College and received an Associates in Accounting.  He worked at Wolniak in Cornell and then worked for Truck Aline for 15 years before opening his own construction business.  Donald enjoyed working and spending time with his family. 

Donald was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, father, and grandfather, as well as a very hard worker.  He will be missed by all.

Donald is survived by his father, Thomas (Kathie Bauer) Troestler; his twin sister, Donna; brothers, Stephen (Martha) Troestler and Mike Troestler; and sisters Peggy (Bill) Whiting and Maria (Chris) Lindquist; wife Suzanne Troestler of Jim Falls, WI; his sons, Jeff (Julie) Troestler of Almond, WI, Scott (Erin) Troestler of Jim Falls, WI, and Mitchell Troestler of Jim Falls, WI; grandchildren, Scott Troestler Jr., Kasey Anne Troestler, Eric Troeslter, and Tyler Troestler; step-brothers, Tom, Ted, and Tim Bauer; and step-sister, Amy Miotke. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Troestler; and daughter, Tami Troestler. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Smith Funeral Chapel, Eau Claire.  A visitation will take place from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday.
