What will you miss most about Valerie?

Renita Burton
I am the oldest and I fulfilled my roll as the oldest daughter. I had a true mother/daughter relationship with her. God guided me through so much with her. I miss talking to her about almost everything. She understood and she never passed judgement on me. I miss caring for her, and making sure she was ok, every minute of the day. I would call every night to make sure she had eaten her dinner and taken her meds. She was my baby so to speak. When I got a call saying your mother is on her way to the hospital, I dropped everything and off to the hospital I would go. Deana and I finally said, mother just needs her fix, the good old morphine... When she got it, she was fine, and she would stay a little while in the hospital then she came home. We had to admit her for the final time and life for us, got real. She could not speak and that was hard. We missed her voice and had to fiqure out if the nurses and doctors were taking care of her while we were not there. Her presence is missed so much. God gave us time to spend with her and i'm very grateful. This woman was adored by me and I just hope that I am a good mother to my girls as she was to me. Missing you girl...
