LifeStory

Rose Lucille Siron

By Diana Lunan

Rose was born in Norman, Oklahoma to Miles “Al” and Agnes King on August 29, 1933.    She was the first of six children. The family moved several times in her youth before settling in Oregon. Rose went to Gresham Grade School and graduated from Gresham High in 1951, where she was editor of the school yearbook.  She married Hartzel Siron on September 17th, 1952. They raised four children, Diana, James, Patricia and Janice. Through the years, Rose loved her garden, took up oil painting and pottery, and traveled often with her family in their travel trailer. Rose was an avid bowler and was a member of several bowling leagues for over 30 years.  She loved to spend time playing cards, shopping and going out to lunch with her two best girlfriends, Phyllis Fetters and Glenda Kimmel.

Rose is survived by her brothers Robert King, Miles King, Richard King and sister Mary Ramsey. Rose is the proud Grandmother to Leanne, Shelby, Jamie, Jesse, and Kaylyn. She is also a Great-Grandmother to Jaylen, Katrina and Madilyn. Rose was predeceased by her parents, her brother Tom King and her daughter Patti.

We will always remember that wonderful smile, her funny sense of humor and her kind and generous nature. Rose’s family will be holding a Celebration of life at the family home this summer. They invite you to leave your condolences, photos and stories of your time spent with Rose at www.lifepost.com

One of the greatest gifts in this life is to have the love of a best friend and I was
blessed with two. My dear Roses and Glenda, thank you for being my sisters.
Until we meet again I know you will be watching over me.

Awww the beautiful Rose! I had the pleasure of meeting Rose when Diana and I became instant friends nearly 43 years ago. She was always so sweet and welcoming. She was as loving to me as if I were her own child. She made a cozy home which I loved to visit. My most cherished advice came from her one day when she taught me ... "Never put your children before your husband" I loved the kind and gentle Rose. Shine on Rose and I know your Dancing in the Sky with your beautiful Patti.

Mom loved my husband Don so very much 😁 He had a way of making her feel like she was the most special lady in the world. He adored her so much. This is a picture of Mom helping Don celebrate his Birthday. She was always laughing around Don. I'll never forget her wonderful laugh.
