I was so proud of Toby and my daughter when he completed his puppy obedience course and his Canine good Citizen course. He was such a smart guy, I was also very proud of him when I taught him to speak when he wanted a treat. Of course, that was the worst thing to do because he figure out that all he had to do is stand by the island and bark and Mommy would give in to him....such a ham!

Toby loved his Mommy's bedroom and that is where he would go when he wanted to be left along. He also had a bed in the living room where he could watch what was going on and be with everyone.

WE have so many wonderful memories of Toby. There is really no favorite. Boating with Toby was always an adventure....going on a long ride to lake George to walk the trails about the water that he so loved to swim in. Playing in the snow, barking at the snow shovel and the rake. He loved all seasons . Making me take a walk with him every night after work and sometimes three times a day on the weekends. He was my life!

Toby would sit by you and just look at you to get food from the table. He would also bark at you to get more treats or do special tricks like "sit pretty" and "High five"

We bought Toby from Tommy and Barb Stewart who were breeders in Greenwich. My daughter wanted a dog so we went up to look at the puppies and fell in love. Believe it or not, Toby was the smallest of the litter but his paws were hugh!!!! SO we knew he was going to be a big boy.

Toby loved to walk all the time...he would love to go over to the school, the cemetery, the battlefield. Any place he could be off leash and run and play to his hearts content. But he did love his home and his backyard!

Toby slept in my bedroom. When he was younger her would jump on the bed and then as he got older, he slept on the floor in my bedroom. My bedroom was his doghouse and I loved it!
