Dear Rebecca,
After working for you these last 10 years it goes to say that I will definitely miss you and your excellent work ethics. Your leadership has been an inspiration to us all. I will miss you but I do realize that exciting opportunities and challenges await you. It has been an honor to have you as my boss. We have all benefited from your wisdom and I wish you every success on your career path and future endeavors. I will long remember the hard work and happy moments we have shared. You have been a great role model to me.
My best to you always, Val

Rebecca,

Thank you, with continued gratitude, for your inspiration for each of us to challenge the first interpretation of any set of "findings" that were possibly to quickly perceived as facts. Thank you for fostering a learning environment in which you helped us continually raise our own expectations and frequently exceed them. Most of all, thank you for being an advocate for each of us to meet our needs while at the same time being completely authentic with how you perceived the world and how a person should to navigate through academics, and life. BRAVA! I wish you the best that life has to offer as you leap into your next adventure!

Brava again!

Rebecca,
Congratulations on retirement! You have worked so hard to improve the MAOL program these past few years, and we are all lucky to be reaping the fruits of your labor. Thank you so much for making a difference in our lives! I had an amazing time learning from you in South Africa and interacting with you these past two years. I wish you all the best in the next phase of your life, and I hope that wherever you go and whatever you do, you are happy! Keep in touch!

Best,

Rebecca-- There is a poem by Emily Dickson that reminds me of your leadership and your faith and belief in others. MAOL would not be what it is today without you living these words yourself and encouraging it in others-students and faculty.

We never know how high we are
Till we are called to rise;
And then, if we are true to plan,
Our statures touch the skies—

The Heroism we recite
Would be a daily thing,
Did not ourselves the Cubits warp
For fear to be a King—

Rebecca,
You were the person who introduced me to St. Kate's and the MAOL program - and I have learned so much from working with you over the past 5 years! Your leadership has shaped MAOL in such significant ways, and we are committed to sustaining and growing what you have built. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!

With deep gratitude and appreciation for the inspiration, grace, and leadership Rebecca brought us; always holding herself and those around her to the highest standards for inclusiveness, leadership, authenticity, empathy..of course with a light touch of accountability :-).

I have many great memories of Rebecca, BUT I can also lay at her feet my taking 4 years to get through the 2 year program...because she was always inveigling me into some new project or program as her lab rat..I could never say no to any of her bright shiny objects, and she knew it :-). That is one of the things I loved the very most, her courage and vision to see and make visible to others the possibilities of the universe.

She will be greatly missed by MAOL and much more, but my wish is for an even more fulfilling next chapter, with perhaps a bit of richly deserved relaxation :-).

Rebecca,
You're the best of the best. You took the MAOL program to a higher level; transforming a good program to a great program. You share your grace and goodness with everyone. You see the value in people and want them to be as phenomenal as possible so you kindly but gently push people to excel. You have a wicked sense of humor that delights students and staff. It's been a pleasure to learn from a scholar whose IQ and EQ are in the genius category. May your next job be as exciting as hitting the lottery with a salary equal to a record payout. Best wishes always.

Rebecca,

Congratulations on your retirement! I thank you for your encouragement and guidance. I also appreciate how you made each and every one of us feel like our voices mattered. I still carry that gift and do my best to encourage others, especially women, to remember that their voice does matter.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the MAOL program. I wish you all the best in retirement and hope you enjoy your next phase to the fullest!!
