LifeStory

Kyle E. Morgenthaler

Kyle was very smart, kind and loved everyone. But he was struggling with severe depression since age 10. His father wouldn't allow me to visit over 5 yrs after he moved 2000 miles away. Sometimes not even allowing us to talk by phone. Kyle was in counseling but his father kept him isolated under strict rules. Kyle learned from a young age being raised by his dad, to always tell others what they want to hear. Denying Kyle of his own feelings and freedom of expression. Kyle had many friends and went to prom with his girlfriend. Kyle had even reached out and said he was suicidal but no one, including myself thought he would go through with it. So my advice to others... if someone says they are suicidal believe them and get them the help they need asap you could be saving their life. In Memory of Kyle E Morgenthaler is a Facebook page I created to honor My oldest son Kyle and to help raise awareness to the growing epidemic of suicide. Its the second leading cause of death for those age 12-29. Lets keep speaking out about suicide and bring it out of the darkness. My heart is forever broken until I see him again someday in heaven.
