As i was clearing things out of Lillian's apartment, i found her self-description, which i thought was spot on: "I am a gentle, kind, perceptive soul who values spiritual, honest ways of being. I am a person who values the resources of our planet and cannot stand waste. I am here to love and care, to help others and allow help." Lilli, i'm adopting your gratitude journal as a way to continue your legacy of always trying to see the positive in others and the circumstances of our lives. Also, i will also remember the incredibly beautiful veggie platter (which looked like flowers) that you brought to a Thanksgiving potluck. Love you always. --Donna D

I first met Lillian at a Christmas party. She had found out earlier what my favorite coffee was and surprised me with a bag of it in the spirit of the season.
She had a very advanced gift for cooking. One evening we were at a Thai restaurant. She took half of her meal home to add the right seasonings to bring it closer to perfection. I had no doubt that whatever she added improved an already excellent dish. In addition, it was fun to learn about herbs and cooking techniques from her. Her knowledge was extensive and her willingness to share was unlimited.
After I moved from Albuquerque, Lillian would describe her new job to me. What came through more than anything else was her strong concern for her co-workers and her desire to help in any capacity to make the business a success. This is the aspect of Lillian which I remember with the greatest affection. Her desire for everyone to benefit, to offer whatever she had if it would improve someone's situation.
