Kentucky Roadtrip
A visit to Dinsmore Farm
Nana & Colonel road tripped with Chris and Katie and wee John-boy to visit Katie's historical family farm. Nana & Katie sat int he back of the double cab truck with John-boy in between them. When the 8 hour drive got long for the babe, Nana would start singing all her old favorite and then end them with "Shave and a haircut 5 cents! You old dirty dishrag you, you are it!" John loved it! We all got sorely tired of it :) -

Judith Sandlin:
We have shared so many wonderful times together, funny, sad, happy, gotten ourselves into trouble, and laughed ourselves silly till the tears rolled down our cheeks!
Whatever we did or wherever we were, it was always an occasion to celebrate in some way!
I will so miss my beautiful, loving "sister" -

Always a fun time when Nana was around. She loved life, loved all people and really loved her grandchildren!- (1)

From Elaine Andruchow Surette:
Chris, Mike told me how much he cared about your Mom. He said she treated him kindly, making him feel like he was family...that she was an incredibly loving person. I know that her limitless capacity to love touched many, one being Michael. To this dear lady who reached out to my son, I wish I could tell her, one mother to another, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so kind to my son." I've always worried about Mike, living on his own so long away from our family. But for some time, I am truly grateful to you, Katie and your 3 dear children for being Michael's family. Michael is lucky to have you all and your Mom has left a warm, tender spot in his heart.
I pray that all these precious memories of her, and the knowledge that she is at peace with the Lord, will provide you with the comfort you need to get through this sad time. -

Nana visiting Southern California with the San Diego Enloe's. Nana never met a stranger. Made friends wherever she went. She loved spending time with The little girl Jana is the Nanny for, Aria. She loved getting her hair done. Can't tell you how many times I have blown her hair dry and styled it. I will miss doing that for her. Will miss that whispy blonde hair! But mostly will fondly remember her smile and laughter. Lots and lots of laughter.- (2)
