Sally Cooper, 62, of Brooklyn, NY, lived a life of radical generosity. Farmer, drug runner, AIDS activist, social justice warrior, loyal friend, passionate gardener, bird nerd, raconteur, handsome dyke beauty, poetic chronicler of her life and these times. Fierce lover of all artists, her friends, her family, her dogs, and her beloved Beck (Rebecca Jordan-Young) and daughter Katrina Santana. She is a luminous soul
and will fill our hearts always.

Beck, Katrina and Sal.
Since hearing that Sally has made her transition, you have been in my prayers. I send my deepest condolences to you and the family. She had a huge heart. Also an amazing writer, I so enjoyed reading her beautiful emails after she left City Harvest. True story: After attending her 60th birthday party I haven't been able to hear Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars without thinking about her. I think she had the DJ play that tune several times that night :-) We had such a good time! She was an inspiration and will never be forgotten.
Sending love and light,
