Ralph Fandetta, a lifelong resident of Millburn, NJ, died peacefully on March 26, 2018 at Overlook Hospital. Ralph was born on August 14, 1925 to Michael and Lucia Fandetta. He grew up in San Bartolomeo Benevento, Italy.  He emigrated to the United States in 1927 with his family through Ellis Island.  He attended school in the Millburn Public School District.  Although Ralph did not graduate from high school, he had a very successful career in the theatre world. He worked as a Wardrobe Master at the Paper Mill Playhouse for 40 years.  He was a member of the IATSE Local 21, a Stagehands Union.  He also served in the Army during WWII.

Ralph truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as traveling, reading, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with his family. He had a natural ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He was one of the kindest people you could ever meet.

Ralph was the beloved husband of 58 years to the late Theodora. He was the loving father of Lucille Williams, Michael Fandetta, and Ralph Fandetta, Jr. and his Partner Andy Braun.  He is also survived by his cherished granddaughter, Jennifer Williams and his dear sister, Doris Kollars as well as many loving relatives. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
