Nicholas Foster

Sunrise: April 6, 1988

Nicholas Foster was loved by all. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin and a friend to many. He had the kindest heart and was always ready to help a person in need. His goofiness brought a smile and laughter to everyone.

He was born in Morris County, where he resided most of his life, attending Whippany Park High School and graduating in 2006. He then attended and graduated from the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in Dover, NJ. And graduated in 2009.

Nick was known most of all for his love of art. It started at an early age when his mother, entered him into art classes. This was when he discovered his talent for it, which quickly developed into his life’s passion. Whether it was drawing for fun, or on commission, he could sit and sketch for hours without hesitation. Nicholas thrived on the enjoyment of the people he shared his work with.

Another passion of his was spending time with his family. There are many fond memories shared of hiking together though Jockey Hollow and Patriot’s Path. Nick started off strong but usually ended up on the shoulders of his father. From the day his nephew, Collin, was born, Nick took on the role of uncle naturally. He held the little newborn so delicately, as if he was a porcelain doll.

Nicholas is survived by his loving parents Marcia and Robin, stepmother Connie, sisters Victoria and Elizabeth, brother-in-law Michael Haberman, baby nephew Collin, grandmother Pauline Lashley, Barbados, several aunts, uncles, and cousins here in the U.S.A, Canada, England and Barbados. He will also be missed by his lifelong friends including Justin Bruce Rame, Alex Koelmel, Linda Mennitt, Susan Diederichs, Diane Revzin, as well as countless others who had an impact on his life.

Please hold the memory of him strong in your heart. Cherish the best parts of Nick with us each day. He filled our lives with compassion, laughter, and love.

You will forever be loved and missed, Nicholas.

A memorial will be held on December 2nd, 2017 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the *FairBridge Inn (*Former- RAMADA INN) and Conference Center, 130 Route 10 West in East Hanover, NJ 07936.

In lieu of flowers, donations to either of these charities in his name would be appreciated:

2. Donations can be made payable and sent to Eleventh Hour Rescue, P.O. Box 218, Rockaway, NJ 07866. Donations can also be sent via paypal/CC at http://www.ehrdogs.org/ (Animal Rescue Organization).

This is so hard for me, so I know how hard it must be for the family. Nick was like a son.  Sweet, kind and
innocent. I pray you are at peace now and always.

Nick and I worked together at Barnes and Noble almost
10 years a go. He was a good friend.  We had lost touch, but I am so sad to see that he is no longer with us.

I had the pleasure of working closely with Nick for the
past couple of months. I was very fond of him. He
was quiet, polite, kind and had a contagious smile. I
have been approached by so many people here
expressing their disbelief and sorrow at his passing. He made quite an impression on us all and will be missed.

Marjorie Gaudin

May my condolences bring your family comfort and may my prayers ease the pain of this loss.

Writing this has been the challenge of a life time. Nick was more of a brother to me than my actual brother, I loved him like one too. I can't look around my house
without seeing some of his art & it always puts a
smile on my face.  Saying I'm going to miss him is an
understatement because if anyone who knew Nick and
how big hearted, goofy, talented, funny, creative he was you would be as hurt as we are all are now. As I write this tears run down my face but as sad as I am I try
to look on the fact I'm honored to have him as my best friend, he touched so many lives through living, loving and drawing. I love you Nick we're all going to miss you very much.

Alex K

Although quiet, Nick was a man of appreciation. He cared about his connections with others and expressed them through his drawings and artwork. All you'd have to do is flip through some of it to see how deeply
impacted he was by the people around him. It was a unique form of expression that the world will be worse
off for losing. You will be missed, Nick.

Sean Anderson

My time with Nick taught me to appreciate that actions can be louder than words.  His constant selfless acts and generosity, especially during his time working with kids was very inspiring. For example, I remember fondly the multitude of children who went home smiling to the parents to show off the various artwork that Nick took the time to draw for them. Not to take away anything from talking with Nick as he had an uncanny ability to make you crack a smile or laugh no matter the situation. I will miss sharing stories about what games we were currently playing. I will miss our comic book tv show discussions. I will just plain miss talking and spending time with you. Rest easy my friend. Your
memory will live on now and forever.

Mum

Today is hard. Very hard for us. We visited with your
sisters, brother-inlaw, and Collin.  Collin was a riot,
and he eased our pain a little. He loved his gifts. Mine was pretty Special, by the way..) But we missed you
something awful. We hope you are looking down on
us. And that you are at peace. We love you dearly,
and will Miss you forever. I love you my Son. Maa

This weekend was hard but we got through it together.

And man did we look good while doing it.

Still working on writing something better, but for now I'll just say.

I miss you and will carry you wherever I go, especially Home Depot and Hackensack. — with Nick Foster.
