Maria Ricci, 87 and 364 days, of Millburn, passed away on Monday, April 02, 2018 at Overlook Hospital in Summit.

Born and raised in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Italy, Maria came to the United States in 1947, and settled with her grandparents in Newark, New Jersey. In 1951, she married Salvatore Ricci and they moved to Millburn and raised their family. Maria worked as a seamstress for over 30 years in Newark, before her love of cooking took her to Chatham Middle School, where she worked in the cafeteria. Maria was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of Casa Colombo in Millburn. She enjoyed getting together with the girls for card games, cooking and shopping. She also enjoyed spending her summers at the Jersey Shore and winters in Florida.

Predeceased by her parents, Ermano and Guiseppina Bibbo, her husband Salvatore and brothers Salvatore and Gerardo Bibbo; Maria is survived by her son John; daughter Carmela Trusso and her husband Tony; grandchildren Anthony and Marena Trusso; sister Filomena and husband Antonio; brothers Michael,Tony and his wife Carol, Frank and sister in law, Maria Bibbo; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
