Adela Gurczeski

Adela A. Gurczeski, 90, of Union passed away on April 27, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel, 1212 Kelly St. in Union on Monday, April 30th at 10:15am. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union on Sunday from 3 to 7pm. Born in Jersey City, the daughter of Waclaw and Helena (Jadjinski) Krauze, Adela was a graduate of Snyder High School. She had resided in Union since 1969. Adela worked at Bank of America in Union for 25 years. First working in the mortgage department she was later a customer service representative until her retirement in 1993. A long time parishioner at St. Michaels, Adela loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Adela was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Gurczeski. She was the loving mother of Diana Vrettos and her husband William, Laura D’Avella and her husband the late John, and Carol Walsh and her husband Thomas, Sr.. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, John Vrettos and his wife Kelly, Nicholas D’Avella, MaryAnna Domenic and her husband Christopher, Joanna D’Avella, Thomas Walsh, Jr. and his wife Francesca and Daniel Walsh, great grandchildren, Peter, Anna, and Jack Vrettos, and Christina and Constantine Domenic, and dear sister, Barbara Krauze. She is predeceased by her sister Regina Dabrowski and brother Raymond Krauze.
