This is a picture of a picture that is not so good but the only picture I have of my dad maternal grandmother Susie (Coker) Curtis she married Luther Curtis and they had six children Catherine, Robert, Francis, Lois, Genevieve and Hilda Curtis. I remember dad taking us children to visit her and she passed when I was six years old in 1966. They lived in Cassopolis and raised their children in Cassopolis and their resting place is at Bethel Cemetery in Cass County. My cousins and I still decorate their graves for memorial day. I don't have any pictures of Grandpa Luther Curtis. His father name was AMI Curtis and if someone asked if that was his real name he said if it isn't who and the hell do you think I am. haha

My cousin Cheryl Carr and myself we always ride together from Kalamazoo, Michigan to Cassopolis to our Stewart/Curtis Reunions. This year her sister Pandora was here and she went with us, from left to right is Opal in blue jean jack, Mabel in white behind her, me in the green, cousin Joyce Steel and Pandora on right. Opal, Mabel, Pandora and Cheryl are all sisters. Their mother is Patty Curtis. They grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan most of their lives like me. Picture taken August 14, 2011.

These are my cousins that I hadn't meet until August 8, 2010. They are all siblings and they went to school with my dad. I was so surprised to hear stories about my dad. Two of my cousins have passed since this picture Robert and William Curtis. RIP cousins. The reunion is the 2nd weekend of August every year in Cassopolis, Michigan at Robert Curtis farm in Cassopolis, Michigan. We have a ball. They have rallies and gifts, games for children and even a hay ride.

My dad lost his birthmother when he was a toddler but he still had aunts and uncles and cousins on the Curtis side of the family. The one aunt that he was close with was Aunt Pud (Hilda Swanson.) He wrote her letter when he was in the arm. I didn't know them until my cousin Mable called and said lets go the reunion and we did. In this picture there is my cousin Mable Evans on the left and her sister Opal on the right in the middle is our great aunt Hilda (Curtis) Swanson. RIP Aunt Pud we called her. I would go see her too. She passed in Jan 7, 2014 she was cremated and buried at Bethel Cemetery that summer 2014.
