Florence Schutz

Florence Lillian  Schutz, 97, of Chatham, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at Juniper Village, in Chatham, where she was beloved by many. 


 


Born in Summit, Florence was raised in Green Village, where her father founded Green Village Packing Company. 


 


Florence was co-owner with her husband, Robert, of Pitco Academy, Precision Instrument and Tool Company in East Hanover, NJ.  She handled all financial and administrative duties, including introducing computerized assembly machinery to their company.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Florham Park Senior Citizens. She enjoyed gardening, golf and traveling.  However, her family and family activities were Florence’s priorities.


 


Predeceased by her husband E. Robert Schutz; Florence is survived by her daughter, Linda S. Patten and her husband, Andrew; grandchildren Drew R. Patten and his wife,  Ann,  and Jeffrey W. Patten and his wife, Kelly; great grandchildren Robert Jeffrey Patten and Katharine Lillian Patten.  Florence is also survived by many nieces and nephews.


 


There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6-9 pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street in Chatham.  A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10:30 am also at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street in Chatham.  Burial will be private. Contributions in memory of Florence may be made to the Green Village United Methodist Church, 500 Spring Valley Road, Green Village, NJ 07935.
