Jerry was one of the most positive people I ever knew. Always smiling and looking at the bright side. He has a wonderful family. He and Inez were great and supportive friends of my parents. So many great memories. A wonderful gentleman.

My Uncle Jerry was thoughtful and kind in a variety of ways. Indeed among him and his 2 brothers he is the only one who never caused me any discomfort or embarrassment, whatsoever. An example: while I was still technically on my honeymoon, I bought my first car from him. It was a stick shift and my bride was not initiated in the mysteries, thereof. Realizing that I might well slaughter my lady, in the blazing heat of that June day, should I try to teach her how to drive the thing, he took us down to the Short Hills Mall parking lot. On a Sunday afternoon, in those days no stores were open and there was little chance of getting into trouble. He gave her lessons on hand, eye, and foot co-ordination and off we went. She mastered it easily. We all came out of it calm and happy which we might not have done had he not been so thoughtful.

It is a small world. Many of my New York relatives worked at the Metropolitan in New York. So sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.
