Lilia M. Sanchez of Chatham , NJ passed away at home at the age of 88 , surrounded by her loving family.

Lilia was born on June 9, 1930 in the Agramonte, Province of Matanza, Cuba. She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Amparo and Claudia (nee Perez) Sanchez.

Lilia migrated from Cuba with her daughter to the United States in 1962. Her close knit of family framed her strong character and tenacity. Her selfless acts of love and kindness always placed the needs and concerns of family and friends above her own. Her love for life and the outdoors included gardening. Her joy and passion. One of her greatest comfort was attending services at her Evangelical Church, Restoration in Christ.

Lilia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raul Raza. She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter Silvia Raza-Pakosh and beloved husband William. In addition, one of eleven children, she was preceeded by her brothers Israel and Jaun and sister Dulce.

Lilia will forever be deeply missed by her family and friends…..

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Bradley’s Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Avenue, Summit NJ 07901. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 11:15 at the Gates of Heaven Mausoleum East Hanover NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the American Heart Association.
