Josephine Sagumeri, “Josie”, 97 of Springfield, New Jersey, passed away at home on July 22, 2018.

Born and raised in New York City, Josephine lived in Brooklyn for 60 years before moving to Pembroke Pines, Florida where she lived for 25 years. She has lived in Springfield for the last 3 years. Josie was a member of the Goombah Club in Canarsie, New York. She enjoyed traveling.

Predeceased by her husband Vincent, and her sons Jimmy, Frankie and Michael; Josephine is survived by her daughter JoAnn of Springfield,  New Jersey; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; daughter in law Lillian Sagumeri of Pembroke Pines, Florida; and sister Margie Battaglia of Staten Island, New York.

There will be a Funeral Mass held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 300 Central Avenue in Mountainside, New Jersey. Interment will follow at Canarsie Cemetery, in Brooklyn,  New York. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 2-5pm & 7-9pm at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 414 Morris Avenue in Springfield, New Jersey.
