Pauline Sawka

Pauline Sawka, 95, of Whippany passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on July 24, 2018. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 60 N. Jefferson Rd. in Whippany on Saturday, July 28th at 10am.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. in Whippany on Friday from 4 to 8pm with a Parastas service at 6pm.  For further information or to send a condolence, please visit www.bradleyfuneralhomes.com.

Born in Harrison and raised in Kearny where she graduated from High School in 1937, Pauline has resided in Whippany since 1946. She was a Realtor with Paulic Realtors in Whippany for over 25 years. Many residents over the years would stop her and thank her for her hard work, dedication and honesty in helping them buy their home.  

Pauline was a long time member of the Hanover Seniors and the Republican Club.  She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening, The Yankees, couponing and shopping, but her greatest joy was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Family was most important to her.

Pauline was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Michael Sawka, Jr. She was the loving mother of Paula Duer (Gregory), Mary Conner (Thomas) and Henry Dacko ( Lorraine).  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Shauna Duer, Michael Duer, Karen DeTrolio, Lauren Fullmer and Krysia Alt, and great granddaughters. Bella DeTrolio and Alex Duer.
