I worked with Barbara for over 20 years at Thomson Reuters. Barbara was smart, had a quick wit and was a wonderful colleague. She was respected by colleagues and clients alike. The business unit that Barbara and I worked in had a lot of success over the years largely because of Barbara’s dedication and keen business sense. Barbara was the first person that I would go to when there was a difficult business issue to resolve. Barb always had a word of encouragement for all and she was an outstanding colleague and leader. Barbara was dedicated to her Christian faith and it showed in how she treated others. Barbara loved her family and I fondly recall many discussions about Michael as a young boy and as a young man. She was so proud of Michael and was thrilled when he chose to attend Providence College. Barbara was also very proud of Mike as a husband, father, and his career as an attorney and NCAA basketball official. I recall how Barbara gushed when she spoke about her two Michaels playing golf together, those were special times. May you rest in peace, my friend. I will never forget you and the positive impact that you had on so many people.

Barbara and I were part of the Forensics Team at St. Mary High School back in the 70s. We also did two school musicals together. Always fun to be around, and OMG could she sing!!! I just got the news from Rosemary Azzaro and I'm gutted. May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family and her many friends.

I met Barbara only once in the ladies room in the Burnett building in Downtown Fort Worth. I work for Thomson Reuters and she was here for meetings of some kind. We had a nice conversation-it was winter and she had the most gorgeous wool shawl and scarf on in lavender and pinks I seem to recall- very Celtic in design. I remarked how beautiful it looked on her and she engaged me in conversation for a few minutes.
I think it was her smile I remember most. She responded that is was really cold where she lived and this kept her the most warm. We were experiencing unusually cold temperatures here in Texas that day and we talked about living someplace cold and adapting to traveling in extreme weather-something foreign to me.
Just a few words on a cold and chilly day several years ago that I have not forgotten. It was her warmth and her smile that came to mind when I heard this sad news.
Her family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Barbara and I worked together for a number of years (though mostly through online communication). I remember when we first met, she was a "burst" of energy when she came into the room. My prayers and thoughts for her family and friends. May you be comforted by the memory of your shared happy moments.
