Mary Wilszanskyj

Mary Wilszanskyj, 81, of Whippany passed away at Morris View Nursing Home on September 28, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 60 N. Jefferson Rd. in Whippany on Tuesday, October 2nd at 10am.  Interment will follow at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Campbell Hall, NY.  Friends are invited to visit at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home 49 Whippany Rd. in Whippany on Monday from 4 to 8pm with Parastas at 7pm.  To send a condolence, please visit www.bradleyfuneralhomes.com.


Born in Potochyska, Ukraine on April 12, 1937, Mary immigrated to the United States in 1949. First settling in Allentown, PA, she had also resided in Cleveland and Yonkers and has lived in Whippany for the past 13 years. Mary had worked at a sewing factory in Allentown and cleaning offices in Yonkers.  She worked in operations at the Cleveland Trust Bank for 18 years and had also held various sales positions including being a buyer for Pickwick Village.  Mary loved embroidery, making Ukrainian gerdany, crossword puzzles and Ukrainian music and dancing.


Mary was the loving mother of Kateryna Kucyna and her husband Bohdan. She is also survived by her cherished grandson, Mykola Kucyna and her brother Orest Pawluk.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church.
