Rosa Romeo, 88, of Springfield, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Overlook Hospital surrounded by her family.

Rosa was born on April 12, 1930 in Laurenzana, Italy. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michele and Teresa (nee Montana) Rinaldi.

She immigrated with her family in 1965 and started her life here in the United States. Rosa was a parishioner of St. James the Apostle Church.

Rosa was an avid gardener and loved spending time outdoors. She worked as a seamstress her whole life. Rosa was very family oriented and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing and cooking.

Rosa was predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe Romeo. She was the loving mother of Rosemarie Romeo and Teresa Andriulli and husband Michele and cherished grandmother of Anthony Romeo and Angela Pacheco and husband Jeff. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Giuseppe Rinaldi, sister, Concetta Rinaldi and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, New Jersey 07081. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at St. James the Apostle Church, 45 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. An entombment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ. In her memory, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
