Donald R. Dvorovy, Sr., 86, of Pawley’s Island, SC passed away on December 20, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 85 Washington Ave. in Chatham, NJ, on Thursday, December 27th at 11am.  Interment is private.  Friends are invited to visit at Wm. Born and raised in Paterson the son of John and Joanne (Oliver) Dvorovy, Don had also lived in Washington Twp, NJ, Franklin Lakes, NJ and Plano TX, before moving to Pawley’s Island 24 years ago. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Boxer during the Korean War then earned a degree in Journalism from Fairleigh Dickinson University on the GI Bill.  Don was a Sports Marketing Manager for JC Penney and a avid golfer. He retired in 1992 after 26 years of service.  In his early years he worked as a reporter and editor for the Bergen Record.

Don was the beloved husband of 56 years to the late June Rose Dvorovy. He was the loving father of Donald Dvorovy, Jr., Kathleen Enright, Janet Favaro, and Dean Dvorovy.  He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Shelly and Nicholas Enright, Matthew and Olivia Favaro, and Cora Dvorovy.  In lieu of flowers donations in Don’s memory may be made t0 either the Enright Melanoma Foundation, P.O.
