Karen D. O’Connor, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from liver cancer. She was 66 years of age. Karen was born on April 10, 1952 in Morristown, NJ where she resided and attended school for several years before moving to Long Valley, NJ. She was very active in the Morristown community volunteering her time with the Neighborhood Watch program, library board, and several other community organizations. She worked as an emergency room receptionist at Morristown Memorial Hospital and eventually as a manager at Shapes, Inc. She loved playing the piano, reading and sitting in her kitchen watching her dogs play in the backyard. Karen was always up on the latest technology and eager to always share her knowledge with family and friends.

She was the beloved wife of 46 years to Robert O’Connor presently of Long Valley; loving mother of Robert O’Connor Jr. and wife Lila of Rockaway, Brian O’Connor and wife Lisa of Clinton, Kellette Elliott and husband Templeton of Oregon, and Kyle O’Connor of Long Valley.  She was the proud and adored grandmother of Colin, Brennan, Kendall and Hunter.  She is also survived by her brother Walter Davis and wife Kathy of Franklin and sister Lisa Davis of Budd Lake, as well as her mother-in-law Margaret O’Connor of Cedar Knolls. Karen is predeceased by her father Walter Davis and mother Ruth Davis.
