Marilyn H. Fox

Marilyn H. Fox of Lakewood and Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 23rd, 2019 surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd. in Chatham, NJ, on Saturday, January 26th at 11:00am. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home. 415 Morris Ave. in Springfield on Friday from 4 to 8pm. Born and raised in New York City, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Pollitto) Casazza, Marilyn graduated from St. Anthony High School. She had also lived in Spring Valley and Toms River before moving to Lakewood 4 years ago. In her early years she worked at W.R. Grace in NYC and after raising her family returned to the workforce at Nanuet National Bank, Union State Bank and A & P. She was a member of the Nanuet Woman’s Club having served as vice president and served as president of the Woman’s Club at Lake Ridge in Toms River. Marilyn will be fondly remembered for her profound devotion to her family, friends and neighbors as well as her wonderful flair for entertaining and her delicious meals.


Marilyn was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Tom Fox who was the love of her life. She was the loving mother of Tom Fox and his wife Patty and Bill Fox and his wife Maru. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Tommy, Chris, Katie, Michael, Brian, Ali and Billy, her dear sister, Carol Mollahan and her husband John and her brother-in-law Joe Fox as well as many relatives. She is predeceased by her sister Joan Fox. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
