How would Richard most want to be remembered?

Annette Vaccaro
I worked at ACAP with Red for over 10 years, weekly, on Monday Mornings, sometimes over some soup and a sandwich. He had a way of understanding what people need in our local communities and found ways to make it happen. I am thankful for his mentorship and often remember his guidance. He knew how to make an impact! A true philanthropist in that he helped so many, who he never met but had mental health problems, to face life's challenges.

He would enjoy being remembered as how totally generous to the most vulnerable in our communities he has been. He taught those at ACAP how to present our story of work with socio economically deprived and emotionally challenged populations to the many foundation groups. We can never fully echo his amazing support and belief in our work.

What will you miss most about Richard?

Deb Kuzma
There is no finer gentleman than Red. His presence filled any room in which you'd find him. His personality was only second to his love of family and God! Semper Fi! Rest in peace, my dear friend.

What are your best memories of time together?

Debby Hennessy
My husband and I had the wonderful pleasure of knowing Red and Elaine, because they were good friends of my parents and also involved with the Chatham Players. The foursome was part of a legendary social group who attended a Super Bowl party at my parent's house every year, and together they attended many other crazy themed gatherings, often requiring hilarious home-made costumes. When I had surprise twins in Disneyworld, 6 weeks ahead of my due date, it became quickly apparent that I could use some help. So coming to our rescue were Sharon and Regi Mullholland who would babysit a few days a week after school. Not sure how I would have survived those days of newborn twins and an almost 2-yr old without their help. We are so lucky to have known and enjoyed such a remarkable family!
