I got to know Qilu when I was Wuhan university, maybe we were all sophomores. We were about eighteen years old and we thought 20 year old seniors were too old. They had four beautiful girls living in a dorm with cherry blossom all over the places. Very few people could dream live in such a beautiful place once in their whole life. Qilu lived there for four years with a dining hall and a library on the top of the hill.

We were lucky enough to play cards together. I remembered that I even taught her how to play. Of course we had beautiful music playing in the dorm. All of them were young, smart and gorgeous.

After we graduated, I met her once in Beijing when she was teaching German in a college. She's a nice, pure girl, very down to earth, not a typical girl found in the college of foreign languages. But she did have big dreams.

Life is never fair, sometime it is even cruel. It took away the most beautiful things to leave us a lasting memory. Some people live their lives like a candle in the wind. Qilu lives her life like a cherry blossom. It does not last long, but it is one of beautiful things we will never forget. Her son should be very proud to have such as a caring mom.

Qilu was an exceptional wife but an even more amazing mom to her son! I was lucky to have Qilu as my friend. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Very kind and warm hearted, love to help others. Whenever I had something need to get her advices, she was always there for me. Enjoyed reading her posts on Wechat, filled with her family joyful moments. Last year, she told me that she had turned her Wechat moments into a book, and was a gift to her beloved Son. What a wonderful mom she is! Qilu, my dear friend, May you Rest In Peace!!! You will be in my heart forever!

1993年11月2日于武汉。那时的你,是一个腼腆,爱笑,被顽劣男生“欺负”时,只会满面通红,瞪着大眼睛,结结巴巴抗争的女生。队友,你永远生活在我的记忆里。
