What's the best piece of advice your mom ever gave you?
My mom told me, "When you get old, you get the face you deserve." That little bit has helped me, in my mid-forties, to love my happy smile lines, evidence of a life filled with joy. I should probably add that a good part of my happy life is due to embracing another two gems of hers: "Never pass up an opportunity to ride the shopping cart down the parking lot," and, "Always carry a book."
