Geraldine Barr, 86, of Basking Ridge and New Providence, NJ, passed away on May 7, 2019. A funeral service will be held at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St. in Chatham on Monday, May 13th at 1pm. Interment is private.   Friends are invited to visit from 1pm to 3pm prior to the service. Born in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of Milton and Gertrude (Meyer) Barr, Geraldine was raised in Madison where she graduated from high school. She was also a long time resident of New Providence before moving to Basking Ridge seven years ago. Geraldine attended Drake School of Business in New Jersey and worked for many years in the accounting and staffing departments of AT & T in Murray Hill. A patron of the Metropolitan Opera Company in New York City, she was also a member of the AT & T Pioneers and a volunteer with the Salvation Army. Geraldine enjoyed gardening and sailing.

Geraldine is survived by her sister Gloria Poulsen and her husband Stephen and her cousin Robert Newhouse and his wife Michelle. In lieu of flowers, donations in Geraldine’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 425 Eagle Rock Ave., Suite 203, Roseland, NJ 07068.
