Ted Unkles
I was very sorry to learn of Carl Klemme’s passing. Mr. and Mrs. Klemme were very close friends of my parents, and I grew up a close friend of their three kids. Over the course of many years, our families shared many wonderful outings: hikes in Stokes State Forest, canoeing on the Delaware River, weekend trips to the Skytop resort in the Poconos, and winter vacations in Florida. I had the unbelievable good fortune of being invited with the Klemme family in 1975 on a three week trip out west. It was my first introduction to the mountains of the western US, and that trip kindled a lifelong love of those mountains.
To his wonderful wife Ann, and to his three great kids Ellen, Sarah, and Andy, I cannot tell you how sorry I am for his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
