Benita Mae Smith

Benita Mae McAllister Smith 76, of Carnegie passed away Saturday June 1, 2019 at the Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald GA. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday June 8, 2019 in the Lunsford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Williams officiating.

Mrs. Smith was born May 12, 1943 in Shorterville, AL. the daughter of the late Bennett William McAllister and step grandmother Jewell McAllister. She was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist church, was a house wife and a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Dwain (Bo) Smith of Carnegie, 2 daughters, Julie Moore of Fitzgerald and Susan Wilson of Cuthbert, a bonus daughter, Duree Land of Fitzgerald; 2 brothers, Bobby (Louise) McAllister of Abbeville, AL and Tom (JoAnn) McAllister of Tucker GA, and 2 grandchildren, Nikki Brennan (fiance Cody) and Shaun Rushin

, 3 great grand daughters and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time.
