Margaret Louise Thompson
Margaret L. Thompson, 56, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey, just two months shy of her 57th birthday. Margaret was born on May 22, 1959 in Newark, New Jersey, and grew up in Hazlet, New Jersey. Later in life, she moved to Matawan, New Jersey, where she raised her family. Recently, she settled in Keyport. Margaret contended with health issues for many years, but she always had a never-failing love for her children and family.
She was predeceased by her former husband, John Coker, and her dear sister, Barbara Thompson. Margaret is survived by her adoring parents, Eileen (Jourdan) and Stanley L. Thompson of Hazlet, New Jersey, her loving children, David Dougherty III of Keyport, New Jersey, and Christine Coker of Keyport, New Jersey, her dear siblings, Charles Thompson and his wife Rocio of California, Patricia Thompson of Hazlet, New Jersey, Peter Thompson and his wife Elizabeth of Aberdeen, New Jersey, and Donald Thompson and his wife Marilou of California, her cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Lillyanne, Madison Mae, and Arianna, along with her close friend, Rich Butkiewicz, many special nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
In respect of her family's wishes, Margaret will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In lieu of flowers, donation in loving memory of Margaret to the Monmouth County SPCA or the Humane Society, would be greatly appreciated.
