Meeting Esterline
David met Esterline at the Federal Building in San Francisco. He was there having lunch with a friend and Esterline was on the same elevator. Esterline asked her friend the next day if David was her husband and her friend laughed and said "No, and he asked about you to!" The rest is history. David always said that when he saw Esterline he told himself "I'm going to marry her!" -

Marrying Esterline
South Lake Tahoe, Nevada
David and Esterline married in South Lake Tahoe, one of their favorite locations. They were to meet at the chapel. Esterline called a cab to go to her wedding and the cab told her that there was "a crazy man hooting and hollering in the street." As they drove, the cab pointed out the man and said "look there's the guy." Esterline said "he's not crazy that's the groom!" They stopped and let David in. David was trying to catch a cab in the street and thought he would be late for his wedding. -

David is proud of his son
San Francisco, California
David kept this photo and referred to it as his "Favorite" of Damien and himself. It was taken at his favorite bar. He recalled that everybody thought Damien was the cutest thing. Look at how happy David is! (And check Damien's silver teeth, remember the bottles of juice?) -

David becomes a Grandpa
As Aria put it David was "old, old, old". David loved that! He spent time with Aria holding her, reading to her, and playing in the pool with her. He always had her favorite foods from raspberries to potstickers. AJ and David loved each other and they had a special connection. -
