Dear Aaron, It is such a delight to have you as part of our extended family. We do not see you all nearly as often as we ought to, but it is always such a pleasure to spend time with you. You are such a thoughtful and warm guy with an unusual balance of earnesty and wit. We look forward to a belated celebration when you and the rest are recovered!
Much love from Marya, Nick, Elias and Hazel

Aaron, remember that quiet and romantic week spent reliving the magic of our wedding? When I chose this picture to commemorate your 50th birthday, I was planning to write how much I miss the luxury of spending a WHOLE WEEK JUST WITH YOU. Since then, however, the whole world has changed. Just as your birth coincided with Apollo 13, your 50th is coinciding with COVID-19-- and as I write this you have been in isolation for 14 days. Now, instead of longing for a whole week alone with you, I'm just looking forward to being in the same room again. :) No matter -- pandemic be damned-- ten years into our marriage I can still feel that solid foundation we built -- a deep respect, an enduring attraction, shared dreams, and simple pleasure in each other's company. I'm proud of who you are and look forward to our future. With love, Renya

Happy birthday young man! I SO hope today is the day you start feeling better! Everyone is pulling for you.
So Mia, Zane, & I were the first people in Renya’s life to get to meet you. In fact, we cut your first date short cause Reyna had to come pick us up at the airport. I remember how aglow she was and the smile on her face as she talked about what a wonderful night she had with you. Then, the next day, she asked if it was ok if you joined us for the afternoon. She was so excited as we sat there and waited for your arrival. It was a fun fun day and Mia and Zane both commented how much they liked you.
And Then the wedding. What a beautiful setting and an amazing weekend. It is a memory that will stay with me forever. And now to see you guys and your beautiful family...I am so happy for all of you. And to think we were then when it all began.
And finally, I will say, Dick and Kurt both are smiling down from heaven knowing how happy you have made Renya. That would have loved you and you would have loved them.
Get well, take care of that family of yours, and I hope to see you guys sooner rather than later! Love you buddy. HAPPY 50th!!!

Hey Aaron!! Happy 50th birthday! I think we met in the mid to late 90's, both of us young men finding our way in NYC. We are no longer young men. I thinks that's a good thing! It's a delight to see where life has taken you and I am so glad that we are still in touch.
I searched and searched for a picture of us but couldn't find one. I know I wasn't really carrying a camera around in the 90's or early 2000's, but anyway... I have very fond memories of our talks and support of one another throughout the years. If there is a picture of us it would definitely be at a diner after a good meal and conversation, and lot's of laughs. Or, maybe there is a picture of me crying into a phone about the state of my life and you are on the other end of the line being very supportive and helpful.
You are a kind man, Aaron! Marci and I love getting your family holiday pictures. Once the state of the world changes, Marci, Larry (the dog), and I can't wait to see you, Renya, and the kids.
Wow, how things change!

Happy 50th Birthday, Aaron! We have known each other for a very, very long time and blessedly also very, very well. You have always been by my side physically or spiritually during our life's journey. Ever since our early days together when we played in that neighborhood East Side park or during those late afternoons when we sat in the car to watch railroad trains coming into Providence, in addition to those unforgettable Fourths of July in Bristol with the Cristina family, and, last but not least, those happy times in New Bedford with Vovó and Vovô, your aunt Jo-Ann and uncle Paul and your cousins Wendy and Scott, not to mention those close neighborhood street hockey friends, you have always been my veritable and vibrant sidekick and core of joy. That warm feeling and lovable friendship of closeness continues to this day and I remember that is why I asked you to be my Best Man when I married your second Mom Nancy. That "bestness" has evolved in the most wonderful ways, making you the Best Father, Best Husband, Best Friend, and above all Best Son. You and I have profound and grateful reasons for celebrating your 50th birthday because you continue to represent the VERY BEST in love and life. Abraços, Pai
