LifeStory

Aubrey Marquez

By Martin Friedman

The Lefferts Manor neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, lost a wonderful friend Sunday night, January 19. Aubrey Marquez was the unofficial mayor of "Rutland Two." Besides keeping the block spotless and leafless all year, Aubrey maintained a little book with everyone's license plate numbers and phone numbers. No one ever missed an alternate parking day or expired registration or inspection. Aubrey was always there; always available with a kind word, chat, or a bit of gossip. He will be missed!

Aubrey's funeral was held with full military honors at Calverton National.

Nyla Morrison - Aubrey was a very special and kindhearted person from his early years into his later life. I will always remember his sweetness toward me and to all whom he came in contact with. Rest in Peace.
