Mark was one of the many fine harm reductionists I met in the USA, in New York, at LESNEP in the 1980s and '90s. We weren't close but I will always remember him.

Mark would want to be remembered as a modern Gandhi, a “Mahatma”—or “Great Soul.”

Mark is the older brother of one of my dearest and best friends. Mark was a kind, easy going guy. He would always be genuinely happy to see his Linda’s friends at a party or gathering and always made time to make conversation and make us feel welcome. He loved his family wholeheartedly. May he Rest in Sweet Peace in the arms of the Lord.

I have known Mark for almost 44 years now and I will really, really miss him. He was always there with kind, loving and thoughtful words on most of the best and worst times of my life and I will never forget that.

He was very funny, loved games and conversations that required thought and high intelligence, reading was his passion - He was always looking to expand his knowledge and understanding of things and he loved and was so proud our family, especially Ruby who was his crowning achievement and legacy.

He loves and believes in his God and he told me that he was at peace with himself and I know he will be welcomed into heaven and be with all of those we have loved and lost before him.

He will remain alive in me as long as I live. I get to see him every day in Linda and our kids. The same mannerisms, facial expressions and what has to be genetic body movements are all there.

He is forever my friend, my brother, my family.

We will all greatly miss him. May he truly rest in peace!

Love Adam

Me and Mark at My Sweet Sixteen in August 1974, Soooo Sweet to See! He was still 18 years old, soon to be 19 years old in September. We had A Very Special Love for each other, knowing that only us two understood what Our Life Experiences growing up together were. He always expressed His Love, Pride and Gratitude for Me, My Kids and Our Whole Family, especially His Pure Joy at having had his Wonderful Beautiful Daughter Ruby! He was Sooo Funny and I’m sure My Late Sister Tanya and him are Laughing it up in Heaven! He Loved Jesus and God will Remember and give Him Peace for Eternity!
I can’t even express how My Life and My Family’s Life will NEVER Be the Same Again!

I Will Miss You Terribly!
I Will ALWAYS Be Grateful that You Were My Loving Brother!
With All My Love,
Rest in Peace, until we meet again ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
