In lieu of flowers the family is asking that people make a contribution on the Mary Kironde Weeks Memorial Go Fund Me Page

50% - Will help cover the costs of cremation, the New York memorial service, and organizing for her ashes to be buried in ancestral land in Uganda.

30% - Will be donated to the Nangabo Vocational Training Institute in Nangabo, Uganda; that was dear to Mary as it was started by her sister, Katie Kironde Kibuka.

20% - Will be donated to Brooklyn Urban Gardeners (BUG). Mary proudly completed the BUG certificate program at age 77, which provides training in urban gardening, and the creation and maintaining of green spaces. As a BUG volunteer, Mary helped connect the educational resources of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to the greening efforts of Brooklyn’s schools, senior centers, block associations, community gardens, and other organizations.
