What's the best piece of advice your mom ever gave you?

Two years ago, I was on the fence over transferring schools - I felt stuck, in the middle of my college career, with seemingly nothing to show for my work. I thought I had no future. I called my mom, and she had lost her voice, but she just quietly listened to me tell her all of my anxieties. After a while, she said in a raspy voice, "You have so much passion, and that will lead you to success. No matter what you do, no matter where you go, hold onto that, and you're going to be great." She died less than a week later, the day before Mother's Day. Those were the last words I ever heard her say, and I will never forget them.
