The wonderful memories of times together as our children grew up will forever be in our hearts.

20 years later I joined her yoga retreat in Cozumel Mexico. What a gift to spend 6 days in paradise reconnecting, reminiscing, laughing, and nourishing our bodies together through delicious food and drink. Those hands I had admired were used to heal me through yoga and her teaching felt like she knew exactly what I needed to hear, and how my body needed to move. I loved every second together. That healing continued through her online yoga classes during the pandemic. Those classes were much more than an opportunity to move my body – they were a connection to not only her and what she was experiencing during this awful illness, but also introduced me to many of her “wild woman” angels tribe – and most importantly, connected me back to myself.
I selfishly hoped I could hold those loving, healing hands just one last time in this world before she passed, but it was not meant to be. Instead, I hold on to her teaching, and healing, and am forever grateful for the abundant gifts that she continues to give me. She definitely made her mark on this world just as I knew she would. How lucky we all are to have known her.
Eliesha was wise beyond her 18 years when she traveled in Up with People. She gave us words to live by that year when she said: Put your heart and soul into everything you do in life.
It was obvious she lived her life that way and I encourage all of us to honor her memory by doing the same.
