When my little sister was born I was 3, I remember my dad telling me to protect this little soul and help around now that I was a big girl with a sister. I helped out and loved her like she was my own daughter, at 3. A few years later when she was 5 I picking on her for something, and my dad told me,- 'You can't fight! You can't hate eachother! When your mom and I are dead, you only have eachother. You need eachother.' I was so touched by that, and to this day his desperation for us not to turn out like his own siblings really got to me.
