What's the most significant lesson dad taught you?

Growing up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, the summers were usually hot. We did not have a power mower back then, and when it was time to cut the grass I would complain to my Dad that it was too hot to cut the grass. He told me that "A man never drowns in his own sweat." I still think of that when I am working hard and sweating, and I thank him for teaching me that little bit of wisdom.
