What's the most significant lesson dad taught you?
"You don't have to marry him! Just let him buy you dinner!" As a young woman on the hunt for the perfect mate, my step-father taught me I didn't need to look for perfection- just go and enjoy a meal with somebody. I wasn't sure how interested I was in this one particular guy but when he invited me to go Christmas shopping for his nieces and nephews and then go to dinner, I remembered Benji's advice. Flash forward fifteen years, The Christmas Shopping Guy and I have been married for thirteen years and have two beautiful girls that know Benji as "Baboo," their beloved grandfather. Thanks for the advice, Baboo.
