My dad has always been a person who believes hard work will get you to where you need to be. He has been pushing from day 1 to excel in my studies and to get the job of my dreams. My dad has told me a lot of things to the effect of achieving my goals, but one thing he did tell me stands out to me and that's: "If you stay proactive the hard work will pay off in the end." This is simple, but meaningful, because at this time in my life I was struggling with my job, and I wanted to know what I should do to cope with what I was dealing with. I had a hard transition into living independently, but with the help and support of my dad I have made it through all things possible. This man has been my rock, support, and shoulder to cry on through the hardest times I have gone through. I hope that I am his when his time comes to settle down and retire.
