The 1940's for Eleanor and Walt
The 1940's were an important 'formative' time for Eleanor and Walt. They meet, marry and begin building their family. They meet in Washington, D. C., Walt enlists in the USNR and is released from active duty; they move to California to live following their marriage and subsequently return to Washington, D. C., to 2000 Connecticut Avenue, N. W., Washington, D. C. They move to (town) in Maryland where they live for xx years. Their family begins with Catherine Victoria in 1948 and Mary Ellen in 1949. Walt joins The Hecht Company in 1945 where he stays for -- years. They find a great property on a hill in Kensington, Maryland, design and build their home where all children grew up.
