I would want Aunt Tricia to know how much her nieces and nephews loved her and appreciated how she touched each of our lives in individual ways. For me, we bonded over cooking and discussing recipes and gardening. Many of my memories of my aunt include a table- a natural gathering place to share food and conversation with the ones you love. I remember as a young child a little gold change purse waiting for me at my table setting at a beach house in Cape May set up by Aunt Tricia. Or all the thoughtful personalized napkins for all my rites of passage, the beautiful buffet lunch she hosted for me in her home for my high school graduation, and the impromptu “after- party” she set up at the hotel following my wedding! Aunt Tricia always wanted us kids to have fun and enjoy each others company. I still remember one holiday season I received a beautiful box full of golden pears at my apartment door- I had no idea who they came from- after asking around quite a bit, I discovered they were sent from my beloved Auntie. Thanksgiving is a hard day to lose a loved one, but in some ways is the quintessential day which embodies so much of what Aunt Tricia cherrished and facilitated so often for her loved ones: a place and time to gather with family, good food, conversation, and to share in thanks for our time together. I will truly miss Aunt Tricia- and all the beautiful ways she brought people together- for all the tables she set and delicious meals that graced them, made even more abundabt with love and laughter from her amazing personality and zest for life!

What are your best memories of time together?

Tara Leone
I have so many, as she truly was a part oft entire life - but I remember her setting up Let’s make a Deal for all the kids when we were little. And she took that love of games and kids, and would always contribute a special themed game or activity for the kids at all the Nanabonanzas. At the most recent bonanza, she did an arts and crafts activity that mimicked the german gingerbread heart necklaces with sayings of love on them.
